Transmission Line Engineer KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:


Project Engineer - Electrical
The candidate should be able to apply an extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices and make project level decisions relative to design criteria and design approach on specific projects. The candidate will lead multi-discipline design projects with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating the engineering project which may have unique or complex technical or project execution requirements.

Other Responsibilities
Initiate Projects - For assigned projects, complete project initiation documents which include detailed work scope/outline, budget, and schedule for completion. Manage Project Implementation - With assigned project team, ensure that all steps and procedures are taken according to Project Execution Plan and that all work is completed as planned and scheduled. This includes keeping the client informed of the on-going status of a project and providing adequate management, advice, and support to the members of the project team. Coordinate/Communicate with Peers - Work with other project engineers and project managers to avoid or eliminate conflicts in schedule due to the changes in various projects. Project Definition - Assist Project Team in defining/clarifying project scope and level of detail required to satisfy customer expectations and project requirements.
Maintain Project Status - Keep the project status reporting system (database) current with the actions and changes that take place on assigned projects so the overall organization is able to respond to client requests.
Prepare High Quality Reports - Ensure that the review process and other quality control guidelines are followed and that final reports and presentations are completed per Project Execution Plan. Business/Fiscal
Management Communicate Opportunities - Communicate/present potential new business or resource information, competitive situations, or technology/regulatory factors to the company. Control Costs - As part of the management of each project, ensure that costs are kept in line with the original budget for time, travel, and material expenses. Discuss variations with Project Manager and issue project change notices to reflect agreed-upon changes.
Maximize Project Profitability - Through appropriate project budgeting/pricing, utilization of resources and cost controls, maximize the profit margin on individual projects.
Specific Position Requirements
Candidate should have a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in a Power Plant with at least 5 years acting in the role of a project engineer. Candidate must have, at minimum, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
Candidate must possess a Professional Engineer license.


Airworthiness Engineer
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This candidate will function as a Structural Repair Airworthiness Representative.

Senior Reliability Engineer
Engineer Senior (Reliability) Provide reliability support for the SSME Shuttle Element to include problem reporting tracking, trending, and resolution, familiar with FMEA/CIL documentation Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in PRACA or FRACAS. BS Eng or AST Equiv 7 yrs relevant exp. Demonstrated aerospace S&M&QA technical expertise may serve in lieu of minimum education requirements Requires US Citizenship & National Agency


Cost Engineer
Job Description: Provide cost control & analysis for assigned projects. Work with project control supervisor, construction leads, project management team and other cost analysts to coordinate entries into company's work management system and update auxillary microsoft cost reports. Do cost tracking, commitment reporting, projections, change control, variance reporting and cash flows. Work with accounting to ensure proper cost coding and bookings as well as review and development of accounting accruals. Perfom detail cost analysis for project, identify trends and/or issues and make recommendations to project team.
Desired Qualifications:Engineering degree required. Experience in project controls, cost management and construction. Cash flow development, monitoring and forecasting experience desired. Advance knowledge of microsoft applications. Understanding of accounting principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fast learner with ability to delve into multiple systems for project information. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work with and become a part of the project team.
Experience in the power industry a plus.


Sr. Static Stress Engineer
This position supports the development of aircraft structures as a strength analyst. Duties include performing static analysis for both metallic and non-metallic parts. Methods include the use of both classical hand calculations and computer techniques to develop high strength to weight ratio structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform stress/strength analyses to verify that structural integrity requirements have been met. Assignments will include detail part sizing, layout maturation, trade study analysis, and weight reduction efforts.
Position requires in-depth knowledge of classical and numerical (Finite Element) stress analysis methods. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) required. Capable of mentoring less experienced engineers, leading a small team.
Other Responsibilities:
Capable of working independently. Can accept broad objectives with agreed deadlines, but establishes the tasks required and how they should be completed. Contacts customers and suppliers to exchange technical data and to discuss project performance. Ensures application of best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools. Utilizes tool sets at an advance level. Has obtained check and/or approval authority in assigned discipline if appropriate. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis and mechanics of materials. Minimum 10 years total analysis experience in airframe design programs. Experience in airframe design, F&DT, Composites, MRB, FAR/JAR Part, Certification, CATIA, NASTRAN, and PATRAN, is desired.


Engineering Specialist I
(System Safety)
Job Description: Candidate must be able to perform and/or assess hazard analyses to assure that: hazards of ARES I Upper Stage (Liquid Oxygen/Liquid Hydrogen powered) are identified, the risks characterized, controls identified, and safety verification requirements are clearly identified. The successful candidate will be required to make presentations to technical boards, management review teams, and clients.
Skills:Minimum of 10 years relevant experience. Familiar with System Safety analysis techniques including fault trees, and hazard analysis. Must be proficient using Microsoft Word. Experience with CAFTA a plus.

Engineering Specialist II (Reliability Engineering)
Support the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of NASA/MSFC Software Reliability (SWR) Plan as it applies to Software Assurance. Prepare, evaluate, and provide assessment of NASA/MSFC managed in-house and contracted program/project Software products (e.g., Development Plans, requirement Specifications and Test Plans). Ability to perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) as it related to SWR. Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in SWR Engineering, preferable in an Aerospace Environment. Ability to perform FMEAs as it relates to SWR. BS Eng or AST Equiv 12 yrs relevant exp. Demonstrated aerospace S&M&QA technical expertise may serve in lieu of minimum education requirements Requires US Citizenship & National Agency Check EOE/M/F/V/D


Supervisor of System Safety (SS)
responsible for all administration and technical performance aspects of the SS group, to include all tasks associated with Shuttle Elements, Ares I, Ares 1-X, Constellation Level II, Space Station hardware, and Cargo/Payloads. Minimum of 14 years relevant experience, and 5 years management. EDUCATION: BS-PhD or AST Equiv 14 yrs. relevant exp.
